I am the first person to say I love to score deals from big stores like Target, Marshall’s or Nordstrom’s. They have great pieces to choose from, but nothing is better than shopping in your local community. There are so many great boutiques to shop for cute clothes for all seasons. The best part about shopping locally is every time you shop it benefits a small business and a community. It takes a lot to run a store or a small business and shopping locally helps do just that.Also, as you shop frequently in local stores, you get to know the people that run them and how hard they work. It makes even more rewarding to shop in their store. I’ve listed a few below that I love to stop in whenever I’m in town.
La Sorella-Sayville, NY
Not only does the town of Sayville has so much charm, but La Sorella incorporates that into its store. Right in town, the boutique has great staple pieces like jeans and lace tanks, but also has really special long island t-shirts that are specific to the boutique. They have great jewelry lines they bring in showcased by the dressing rooms and she even carry’s piece from the brand Olivaceous. They have been some of my favorite items I’ve purchased from the store. If you’re not local, you’re in luck. The store is about to launch an online store very soon. Madison’s Niche-Huntington Village, Garden City, Sayville, and Stony Brook Village
Madison’s Niche is a full lifestyle boutique with multiple locations around Long Island. The one located in Sayville,is my go-to and is located right in the village as well with adorable clothes, hostess gifts, home décor and handbags. They’re theone stop shop for everything you could need and everything is so nicely curated. They have an online shop to purchase anything from their clothing to their mugs. Kelly B-Montauk, NY
If you’ve ever traveled to Montauk, you know that Kelly B is a great place to shop for all your summer and winter needs. She has a separate shop for bathing suits and athleisure, but also has a store full of adorable bohemian options. The owner is extremely helpful and there to help you pick out exactly what you’re looking for. In the summer I always am drawn to the rompers or two-piece sets she brings in.
